Considering laminate installation?
Can laminate be installed over an existing floor?
It depends on the existing surface, stability and manufacturer instructions. A soft or moving floor is not automatically a suitable base. Floor heights and moisture management also need checking.
Is laminate suitable for a kitchen?
Suitability must be checked for the chosen product. Laminate products differ in water resistance, and the manufacturer may require particular edge sealing.
Why does a laminate floor click or creak?
Noise can relate to unevenness, restricted movement or room conditions. The cause needs assessment on site; careful preparation helps prevent installation-related problems.
